Teaching Ideas:

• even if language is too difficult, students can flick between English and target language versions and pick out key words or phrases

• listen to target language and see how far they can follow along

• pause at the end of every page, retell it with other words to help students to understand

• make prediction on what happen next

• ask students to retell the story with their own words
